I wanted to post a quick thank you to Houston’s Green Bank and Green Team America for the Arbor Day event yesterday. My son was at school, but my little girls enjoyed hiding in the Southern Magnolias.
I have a Lacebark Elm now. I am not sure if I have room for it, but I think that I may be planting it near an ash, which has not been the same since the last hurricane. I am trying to be a good steward of the land; if a tree may have to come down, have another tree ready to take its place. However, I may give this away as a gift. We will see, but I do like the idea of that flaking bark later in the year.
